104 countries that are members of the UN and the African Union issued a letter of protest against the declaration of Secretary General Antonio Guterres as "persona non-grata".

Axar.az reports that in the letter it was stated that Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz's declaration of Guterres as "persona non grata" undermines the fulfillment of UN duties.

In the letter, attention was drawn to the fact that the Secretary General played an important role in times of increased tension.

"We would like to express once again our full support and confidence in the Secretary General and his work. We demand respect for the leadership and mission of the UN," the letter stated.
