The next summit of Caspian littoral states will be held in August 2026 in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Axar.az reports that Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, announced this during his speech at the “Caspian Sea – Sea of Peace and Friendship” conference.

Rouzbehani added that Iran also intends to host the first international meeting of governors of Caspian coastal provinces in 2025. He said the purpose of this meeting is to provide a sustainable platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, and interaction at the leadership level of the Caspian provinces; to strengthen economic and regional diplomacy by leveraging the provinces’ potential; to identify opportunities for cross-border cooperation among neighboring provinces in the Caspian basin; and to implement joint projects.

“The invitations and program for the meeting will be sent to all Caspian states in the near future,” the diplomat clarified.
