Elon Musk has spent at least $1 billion to finance an attempted coup in Venezuela following the 2024 presidential elections.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

"Elon Musk has invested at least $1 billion in a coup, a fascist uprising, and violence against the electoral process. After the presidential elections held on July 28, the extreme right-wing opposition resorted to violence and attempted to destabilize the country. Behind the coup attempt was the U.S. government, a constant conspirator of the North American empire," Maduro said.

He added that Musk's financial resources have been distributed by one of the opposition leaders, María Corina Machado, who is known for financing terrorist groups.
