Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andriy Yermak.

He said that this initiative took place against the backdrop of a pause in the supply of some key types of US military assistance to Ukraine.

"It was a very important and substantive conversation. Detailed information about this will be provided soon," Yermak noted.

Axios correspondent Barak Ravid wrote, citing an unnamed source, that the telephone conversation between Trump and Zelensky lasted about 40 minutes and "the conversation went well."
