NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is set to visit U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence to persuade him not to make concessions to Russia on the Ukraine issue.

Axar.az reports that, citing The Washington Post, Rutte will emphasize that a fair and lasting peace, which deters Russian aggression and ensures Ukraine's security, serves both Trump's and Europe's interests.

The Secretary General plans to stress during the meeting that concessions to Russia in the context of the Ukraine conflict are unacceptable for the West, as a poor agreement would ultimately harm Trump.
