The U.S. Department of Defense has information regarding North Korean soldiers' participation in combat operations on the Russian side in Kursk region for the first time, resulting in casualties.

Axar.az reports that U.S. Department of Defense official General Patrick Ryder provided this information.

"Yeah, what I can tell you is that we do assess that North Korean soldiers have engaged in combat in Kursk alongside Russian forces. We do have indications that they have suffered casualties, both killed and wounded. I don't have specific numbers to provide for you, but that is obviously something that we continue to monitor. And as we've said all along, those forces are legitimate military targets for the Ukrainians given that they are engaged in active combat ops," he said.
