Expert: Weakening logistics key to liberating Crimea

The previous strikes on the Crimean Bridge and the Kerch Strait were not just painful but even devastating for the Russian troops.

Axar.az reports that Pavel Lakiychuk, head of security programs at the XXI Strategy Global Research Center, made this statement.

He noted that currently, almost no one discusses the military prospects of liberating Crimea, but Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting a "formative operation" on the Crimean Peninsula:

"At present, Ukrainian servicemen are doing everything possible to weaken the enemy in the southern direction and create preparatory conditions for the liberation of Crimea."

The expert emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are working to destroy Russian troops' logistical routes. Crimea has now become a painful point for Russian forces, though they previously considered the capture of the peninsula a "strategic advantage."

"Crimea has two northern entrances: Chongar and Perekop, and one eastern entrance via the Kerch Strait, which is a critical artery that is much easier to cut off," Lakiychuk noted.
