Two killed, 13 injured in an explosion in Damascus

Two people were killed and 13 others were injured Thursday in an explosion that hit a minibus in Jaramana town of Damascus, Syria.

Axar.az informs, citing Syrian Arab News Agency, that an explosive device detonated inside a bus in the city of Jaramana in Damascus countryside.

A source at the Ministry of Health said that Human remains were found at the scene and are being treated by forensic teams in accordance with established procedures.

The Ministry added that it is closely monitoring health developments following the explosion and had raised the state of readiness at nearby hospitals and ambulance and emergency departments.

The bombing followed two terrorist attacks near the Ministry of Tourism in Damascus on July 7, which killed one person and injured 36 others. The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of those involved just two days after the attacks.
