It snowed in Morocco for the first time in 50 years.

Axar.az reports that the National Meteorological Center of Morocco associates the unusual weather conditions for the desert area with a significant flow of cold air from Northern Europe.

Snowfall covered several provinces located in the south and southeast of the country, and in some areas, the height of the snow cover reached 35-40 centimeters.

In the mountainous areas, the air temperature has dropped to -5 degrees.
