Russia-Iran gas pipeline will pass through Azerbaijan

The route for the gas pipeline from Russia to Iran has been agreed upon and will pass through Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev shared this information with journalists.

According to him, the negotiations are in the final stage, and the price is being agreed upon.

The minister stated that initially, a smaller volume is planned—around 2 billion cubic meters per year, but according to the preliminary agreement, this will later be increased to 55 billion cubic meters.
