Erdogan and Pezeshkian discuss regional issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the Turkish Presidential Administration's Communications Department released a statement.

It was reported that the leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.

During the telephone conversation, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkiye is closely following the developments in Iran and that Iran's peace and stability are important for the country.

The President also stressed that Turkiye has never supported foreign intervention scenarios against Iran. He noted that resolving problems and preventing an increase in tensions in the region also serves Turkiye's interests.
