Iran strike damages US THAAD radar in Saudi Arabia -

A critical American radar was damaged in an Iranian attack on Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base on March 1, a new satellite image has revealed.

Axar.az informs, citing CNN, that the radar, an AN/TPY-2, is a crucial piece of equipment for the US’ high-end THAAD missile interception system.

Iranian strikes also destroyed another American AN/TPY-2 radar in Jordan, targeted military communications infrastructure, and damaged a Qatari early warning radar that cost over $1 billion to build.
