Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day halt to strikes on Kyiv starting at midnight.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the decision is linked to preparations for and meetings involving U.S. negotiators in Kyiv.
“Indeed, such information was received from the Ukrainian side. Russian President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin has ordered that no strikes be carried out on Kyiv for three days starting at midnight tonight. This is linked to preparations for and the Americans’ meetings in Kyiv,” he said.
It should be noted that the aforementioned U.S. officials are currently on a visit to Russia.
It is also recalled that Ukraine has declared a four-day ceasefire.
