Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said European countries are doing everything they can to undermine the prospects for peace talks on Ukraine, in which the United States is also interested.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Lavrov made the remarks during the general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

“Realizing the futility of their efforts, European countries are doing everything they can to obstruct a peaceful settlement and undermine the prospects for negotiations that many are interested in, including the administration of US President Donald Trump. The West is supplying weapons to the Ukrainian regime and helping Kyiv target civilians and civilian infrastructure with drones and missiles,” he said.
