IRGC denies rumor of attack on Isfahan nuclear facilities

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran’s Isfahan Province denied stories circulating on social media claiming that Israeli or US forces have attacked nuclear facilities in the central province.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim News Agency, that the provincial unit of the IRGC issued a statement on Saturday, rejecting reports of an attack on nuclear centers and facilities in the province.

The statement said that following the circulation of false reports and claims on social media alleging that US-Israeli forces have attacked Isfahan’s nuclear facilities, the public should be informed that the reports are entirely false and that no attack by the Zionist regime or the US has taken place against the province’s nuclear facilities as claimed.

The IRGC described the dissemination of such rumors under the current sensitive circumstances as an attempt by hostile elements to create tension, alarm the public and disrupt people’s psychological calm.

The IRGC called on people to refrain from sharing unverified claims, old images and reports from unknown sources.
