Negotiations continue for Turkish ships in Hormuz

Work continues for Turkish ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing Bloomberg HT, that Turkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, said there are currently 14 Turkish-owned ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Three ships have not requested to leave. They are there for specific operations. Negotiations continue regarding the departure of the remaining vessels. There has not yet been an opportunity to move them. We are in constant contact with the crew and captains. There are no humanitarian problems; we are monitoring closely,” Uraloglu added.

The minister emphasized that all efforts to evacuate the other vessels are ongoing under the coordination of Turkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
