Ryabkov: Russia open to dialogue with US

Russia is ready for dialogue with the United States, but this does not mean it will back down from its principled positions.

Axar.az reports that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov made the remarks in an interview with NEWS.ru.

“U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about the need to introduce new ideas for a peaceful settlement. We are ready to hear them if that is what the Americans’ aforementioned ‘efforts’ entail. We remain open to dialogue with Washington, but this does not mean that we will back down from our principled positions,” he said.
