Azerbaijan’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Costa Rica, Seymour Fataliyev, has presented his credentials to Costa Rican President Laura Fernandez.
Axar.az reports that, according to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Costa Rica's report, the ambassador conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to President Fernandez.
She expressed her gratitude and asked that her warm greetings be conveyed to the Azerbaijani president.
During the meeting, the ambassador briefed President Fernandez on Azerbaijan’s growing role amid recent geopolitical developments and emerging new realities in the region, as well as the country’s economic potential and favorable investment environment. He also informed her about important progress achieved within the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
President Fernandez congratulated Azerbaijan on the achievements in the peace process with Armenia. She said she was ready to continue joint efforts to further develop the existing friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Costa Rica and Azerbaijan during her presidency. The Costa Rican president wished the Azerbaijani ambassador success in his diplomatic mission.
The ambassador presented President Fernandez with the book Azerbaijan: In the Magic of Nature, published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
