Uzbekistan Airways has stopped using Russian airspace for flights to Europe.
Axar.az reports that, citing Repоrt, this was announced by the chairman of the airline's board, Shukhrat Khudaykulov.
The decision was made based on the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) report, which deemed flights over Russia's European part to be dangerous.New routes will pass through Azerbaijan and Turkiye.
According to the company representative, the route changes extend flights by 30-40 minutes and increase costs, but passenger fares will not be raised due to the force majeure nature of the situation.
