U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he would cut off all future funding to South Africa, citing the alleged mistreatment of "certain classes of people" and land confiscation.

Axar.az reports that Trump demanded a full investigation before reconsidering U.S. assistance, which totaled nearly $440 million in 2023.

The South African embassy has not responded to the announcement. This move comes despite South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s previous remarks downplaying concerns about relations with Trump. Trump's claims echo his earlier unproven allegations during his first term about large-scale killings of white farmers. Additionally, Trump’s close ally Elon Musk has publicly commented on similar issues, accusing certain South African political groups of promoting anti-white sentiments.
