The deployment of a Western peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine is impossible without Russia's consent.

Axar.az reports that Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said this after a meeting with his Slovenian counterpart Natasa Pirk-Musar in Ljubljana.

"What country has 30,000 peacekeepers? Let's imagine that Russia will agree to this, while it will not, and this will become a mortal danger for those who have to go there," the president stressed.

He noted that even if the security and political conditions allow the deployment of peacekeepers, it will not be possible to gather such a large number of personnel.
