Pashinyan: The peace process is still ongoing

The fact that we have received the 12th package of proposals shows that the process is not deadlocked.

Axar.az reports that these words were made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today in a conversation with journalists in parliament, commenting on the peace agreement.

“Now we must present our proposals, that is, the process is underway. On the other hand, we must admit that the delimitation commissions are working. We have also proposed a solution and we hope that Azerbaijan will respond positively to this solution because frankly, I analyze and think a lot about why Azerbaijan should respond negatively to our proposal. Objective analysis shows that there is no reason to refuse it. We are talking about railway transport between Armenia and Azerbaijan, that is the connection from western Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan and from Armenia to Armenia - from Arazdayan to Mehri. Also, both countries will have the opportunity to use the railways passing through each other's territory for international cargo transportation,” Pashinyan said.

He noted that Armenia is ready to further simplify the terms of operation of the railway with Azerbaijan:

"I often analyze and think about why Azerbaijan should react negatively to our proposal. And an objective analysis shows that there is no reason for refusal."
