A criminal case has been opened against the son of the Azerbaijani Diaspora's son, Mutvali Shikhlinsky, in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by Igor Putintsev, President of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Sverdlovsk region.
"The Chamber of Advocates confirms the information that the Mutvala was prosecuted against Shikhlinsky," the agency's interlocutor said.
Putintsev did not specify which item could be charged with Shikhlinsky.
Earlier, the chairman of the Azerbaijan-Ural Public National-Cultural Organization of the Azerbaijan-Ural, Sahin Shikhlinsky, was detained. He was later released.

Mutvali Shikhlinsky, who was accused of injuring a government representative, testified in court.
He said that he did not intentionally harm the government official and regretted what happened:
"It was not intentional. I did not see him, he was on my right, I saw him later. I am very sorry for what happened."
The Lenin District Court has chosen a preventive detention measure for him for 2 months. However, the decision has not entered into force and an appeal can be filed.
