Former footballer Nico Hidalgo has passed away.

Axar.az reports that Hidalgo died at the age of 32.

The former midfielder had been battling lung cancer since 2021. He ended his football career in the 2021/2022 season with the Spanish club Extremadura.

Notably, Nico Hidalgo was registered as a Juventus player from 2014 to 2017 but played on loan for Cádiz and Granada B. Throughout his professional career, he made 234 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists.
