The Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the Social Fund of the Russian Federation (RSF) have explained the procedure for citizens who have moved abroad permanently to receive their pensions.

Axar.az reports that pensioners who move abroad for permanent residence can continue receiving their Russian pensions. To do so, they must submit an application before leaving the country. This can be done in person at the RSF’s territorial office, a multifunctional center (MFC), or through a representative on the "State Services" portal.

If the application was not submitted before departure, it can still be completed after leaving the country. In this case, the application must be sent by mail to the RSF’s territorial office or the RSF Department for Social Security of Migration and Integration. The application forms, as well as a list of required documents, are available on the RSF website.

If copies of documents are submitted to the RSF without the originals, their authenticity must be certified by a notary.

Electronic services are available in the “Personal Account” section on the RSF website, where users can obtain information about pension payments and track the status of submitted documents.
