Jewelers in Turkiye will no longer be able to sell cut gold.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree on this.

The decree has already been published in the "Official Gazette".

It should be noted that previously cut gold was sold by carat based on trust between the jeweler and the buyer. However, due to some malicious sellers, carat problems arose in cut gold, which violated standards. When such a situation was later discovered, they were forced to sell that gold at a low price.
