Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a brief visit to Oman on March 16 and met with Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busaidi.
Axar.az reports that Araghchi shared this information on his X account.
"In line with our plans during recent meeting in Jeddah, I paid a short visit to Muscat to review bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest & concern with FM Badr al-Busaidi. Our commitment is to diplomacy in defense of peace and stability, and I am always delighted to engage with my Omani counterpart in pursuit of these aims. Our neighbors are our priority," he wrote.
Some unofficial sources suggest that Araghchi went to Muscat to deliver Iran's response to the letter from U.S. President Donald Trump to Ali Khamenei.
The "Tabnak" website, linked to former IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaei, also suggested that Araghchi might have carried Tehran's reply to Trump's letter.
