343 detained in protests over ekrem Imamoglu’s arrest

A total of 343 people have been detained during protests in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, Canakkale, Eskisehir, Konya, and Edirne following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.

Axar.az reports the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office released a statement regarding the situation.

The statement emphasized that authorities will not allow any attempts to disrupt public order, threaten security, or incite chaos and provocation.

The mayor of Istanbul is charged with corruption and aiding a terrorist group.
