China has issued a strong warning in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's move to raise tariffs on Chinese imports to 125%, calling it a violation of global trade norms.

Axar.az reports, citing Hindustan Times, that Beijing stated it “will not sit back” and criticized the U.S. for actions that “go against the whole world” and undermine the multilateral trading system.

While leaving room for dialogue based on mutual respect, China vowed to “fight to the end” if necessary.

The tariff hike, announced after a 90-day pause on other trade partners, further escalates tensions between the world’s two largest economies.
