We do not want new crises in our region, which has been suffering from instability and conflicts for many years.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that these words were spoken by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"Thanks to the border operations carried out in northern Syria and Iraq, we have come close to eliminating terrorism at its source and are now entering a new stage," he said.

Erdogan emphasized that the future struggle will not be for oil, but for water, the most strategic resource of the 21st century:

"Turkiye is not a country with abundant water. We live in a water shortage. If we do not take action, we will face more serious problems."
