The captain of the aircraft operating on the Bangkok–Helsinki route, belonging to Finland's "Finnair" airline, sent a request for an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Axar.az reports the reason was a sudden deterioration in the health of one of the passengers.

The "Airbus A350" aircraft successfully landed at Baku Airport at 12:06 local time. Medical staff were immediately dispatched to the plane. The passenger received initial medical assistance on-site, and after assessing the situation, they were swiftly transferred to one of the capital's medical facilities.

It is worth noting that Heydar Aliyev International Airport prioritizes the safety of passengers and crew, maintaining a high level of readiness to respond to such emergencies. The airport regularly conducts operational drills and security scenario simulations.
