US and Iran hold direct talks in Oman

Direct talks in Oman between the US President's Special Representative Stephen Whitkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were a step towards a mutually beneficial outcome.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a White House statement.

"Special Representative Whitkoff told Araghchi that he had instructions from President Trump to resolve the differences between the two countries, if possible, through dialogue and diplomacy. These issues are very complex, and Special Representative Whitkoff's direct contact today is a step forward in achieving a mutually beneficial outcome," the statement emphasized.

Recall that negotiations on the nuclear program between the United States and Iran were held in Oman today.
