A 4.0 magnitude earthquake has struck the shores of the Karaburun district in Izmir province.

Axar.az reports that AFAD has shared this information.

The earthquake occurred at 02:18 local time, with its epicenter located in the Aegean Sea, in the Izmir Gulf.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 7.28 kilometers. The tremors were felt in surrounding areas as well.

There are no reports of casualties or damage.
