Ukraine agreed to a comprehensive ceasefire with Russia proposed by the US side. The main obstacle now is Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az reports, citing RBC, US Special Envoy to Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said this on Fox News.

"They (the Ukrainians - Ed.) have agreed that they want to have a comprehensive ceasefire - air, sea, land infrastructure — for a minimum of 30 days, which can be extended. They wanted to do that today. We came to London two weeks ago, we sat with what is called a 'coalition of the willing,' primarily led by the French, British, and Germans. And they wanted to have this comprehensive ceasefire, with a lot of conditions assigned to it. And the Ukrainians agreed to it," said Kellogg.

He added that not all the conditions are favorable to Ukraine, but "we’ve driven ourselves to the position that we can go." The US special envoy believes the sides are close to a possible ceasefire.

"I think we’re close. The one man who can deliver it is President Trump. As long as Putin agrees. Right now, probably, our impediment in progress is the President of Russia not agreeing to it," Kellogg said.
