Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky can only agree to talks with the Russian delegation in Turkiye if Vladimir Putin participates.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office.
"If Putin is not there, then there will be no talks. In such a case, the president will decide whether to hold any discussions or not. Then these talks will not be at the presidential level," Podolyak emphasized.
It should be noted that Zelensky previously stated that he would personally participate in the Istanbul talks, while the Kremlin stated that Russia would be represented at the talks by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov.
There has been no official statement yet on whether Vladimir Putin will participate in the talks.
