Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council amid threats to global peace due to the actions of European countries that are trying to prevent the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
Axar.az informs this was announced by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations.
"European sponsors of the Kyiv regime requested a meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine on May 29. We decided to respond “in kind” and, in turn, requested a meeting concerning threats to international peace and security caused by actions of several European states attempting to hinder efforts for the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. The Greek presidency, as we expect, will schedule it for 10:00 on May 30," he wrote on Telegram.
