Iran has requested an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to discuss Israel’s unprecedented strikes on the country.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, according to the Iranian Mission to the UN.

The request comes amid growing international calls for calm, after Israel warned its military operation against Iran would continue for days and Iran vowed retaliation.
