13 flights divert to Baku amid airspace restrictions

Due to flight restrictions imposed in Iranian, Iraqi, and Israeli airspace following Israel's air strikes on Iran, 13 international airline planes made emergency landings at Heydar Aliyev International Airport to safely resume flights.

Axar.az reports that some of the flights that made emergency landings also included citizens of the Russian Federation of Armenian origin.

According to the information provided by the Press Service of Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the safety and comfort of all passengers were ensured. They were provided with services by international aviation legislation.

According to currently available information, more than half of the flights that made emergency landings have already resumed their flights. Coordination procedures for other flights are continuing by international standards.
