Iran’s Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei has signed a new decree.

Axar.az reports that, according to the new order, 73-year-old General Yahya Rahim Safavi, a former IRGC commander, has been appointed as the official in charge of coordination between the army corps.

It is worth noting that Yahya Rahim Safavi was born into an Azerbaijani family in Isfahan. He is said to be a descendant of Shah Abbas. The 73-year-old general currently serves as Khamenei’s military advisor.
