Israeli forces disabled air defense systems in western Iran and the Tehran region, giving the Israeli Air Force free movement over the Iranian capital.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Brigadier General Effi Defrin during a briefing.
According to him, during the night, more than 70 Israeli fighter jets struck targets in Tehran and neutralized Iran’s air defense systems.
“The road to Tehran is open. We struck more than 40 targets — missile systems and advanced air defense systems throughout the Tehran area, as well as launch platforms and control centers. Tehran is no longer protected. The capital is vulnerable to Israeli strikes,” the general said.
It should be noted that on the morning of June 13, the Israeli Air Force launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military bases. The previous night, Iran retaliated by launching missiles at Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv. The clashes are still ongoing.
