Recently, some media and social media accounts have been spreading unfounded and fabricated claims that Azerbaijan has recruited ethnic Azerbaijanis as agents and sent them to Iran on behalf of Israel.

Axar.az reports that Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said this.

"Such absurd and fantastic claims have nothing to do with reality and are nothing more than deliberately spread disinformation. We categorically reject these fake news and baseless accusations," H. Hajiyev noted.
