Russia is not seeking Ukraine's surrender, but rather the recognition of the realities on the ground.

Axar.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Firstly, this situation is fundamentally different. Secondly, we do not seek Ukraine's capitulation. We insist on the recognition of the realities on the ground," Putin said.
