You have close relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, but you should be careful, Azerbaijan is taking actions that are not in the interest of the Islamic world.

Axar.az reports that Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, said this during a meeting with Pakistan's Interior Minister Seyyed Mohsen Naqvi, who is visiting Iran.

"Azerbaijan is organizing a meeting between Ahmed al-Shara and representatives of the Zionist regime, and is sending oil to Israel at the same time as Israel's crimes against the Palestinians," he repeated his traditional claims about the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Velayati, therefore, invited Pakistan to demand a report from the Republic of Azerbaijan:

"You should ask them why they are taking actions that are contrary to the interests of Muslims and the Islamic world."

It should be noted that Ali Akbar Velayati, who was the Iranian Foreign Minister for many years, was distinguished by his special position against Azerbaijan and is considered a "strong anti-Turkish person" in Iran. Although the province, which played a special role in the occupation of Azerbaijani lands in the 1990s and Armenia's economic and political survival, congratulated Azerbaijan on the liberation of Karabakh from occupation after 2020, it is among the most vocal against the opening of the Zangezur corridor.
