A meeting with the delegation led by the Director of Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) of US Department of Defense, Mrs. Elizabeth George was held in the Main Medical Department on December 15.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation and future prospects as well as highly appreciated the Joint Biological Cooperation Program between Azerbaijan and the United States.

Chief of the Main Medical Department, Major-General Natig Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation, which is currently being implemented. Speaking about the importance of trainings held within the framework of cooperation, chief of the department stressed the importance of exchange of experience in the field of biosecurity and biodefense.
