Zamira Hajiyeva released on bail

Zamira Hajiyeva, 55, wife of former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev released on bail.

Axar.az informs citing Report’s London bureau that, at a High Court hearing on Thursday she was released on bail pending attempts to extradite her to Azerbaijan. Zamira Hajiyeva should go to the police station every day from 09.00 to noon and cannot go outside from 21.00 to 6.00. In addition, according to the court decision, Zamira Hajiyeva's passport will be kept in police custody.

Notably, according to the information from BBC, over ten years Zamira Hajiyeva spent more than £16m in Harrods - the equivalent of more than £4,000 a day.

Examples of her big spending, revealed to the court, included £150,000 spent on a single day on Boucheron - a luxury jewellery, perfume and watches brand.
