Syria foils terrorist plot to target Homs refinery

Syria’s General Intelligence Service has successfully foiled a terrorist plot aimed at the Homs oil refinery.

Axar.az informs, citing SANA, the Homs refinery is one of Syria’s two main refineries and a critical piece of energy infrastructure.

The foiled plot comes amid a series of security operations targeting terrorist cells across the country, including an ISIS-linked cell arrested in Deir Ezzor for assassinations and another cell dismantled in Homs countryside in October.
