Baku hosted decree of Shah Ismail Khatai

A presentation of a 1508 decree by Shah Ismail Khatai, the founder and first ruler of the Safavid state, was held at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that this decree, one of the 20 documents written during Shah Ismail Khatai's lifetime that has survived to the present day, was purchased at a "Christie's" auction by an Azerbaijani citizen in April 2024 and donated to the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.
