Azerbaijan produced 7.864 billion cubic meters of associated gas (gas extracted from oil fields) in January–June 2026.

Axar.az reports that the information was provided by the State Statistics Committee.

According to the report, this figure is 477.3 million cubic meters, or 6.5% higher than in the same period last year.

Of this volume, 2.531 billion cubic meters accounted for marketable gas, which is 466.05 million cubic meters, or 22.6% more compared with the same period of 2025.

Overall, Azerbaijan produced 25.180 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first six months of this year.

According to the data, natural gas production increased by 190.8 million cubic meters, or 0.8%, compared with the same period last year.

In January–June 2025, Azerbaijan’s natural gas production amounted to 24.989 billion cubic meters.

During the reporting period, 19.551 billion cubic meters of marketable natural gas were produced, representing an increase of 209.2 million cubic meters, or 1.1%, compared with the same period last year.

In the first six months of 2025, marketable natural gas production stood at 19.342 billion cubic meters.

Overall, the total value of output in Azerbaijan’s mining industry amounted to 20 billion manats, down 0.2% compared with the same period of the previous year.

In addition, according to the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan exported 12.431 billion cubic meters of natural gas (in gaseous form) worth $4.106 billion during the first six months of 2026. Compared with the same period last year, the value of natural gas exports decreased by $436.5 million, or 9.6%, while the volume increased by 65.8 million cubic meters, or 0.5%.

Amid rising gas production, Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its position as a reliable supplier in international energy markets. The geography of Azerbaijan’s natural gas exports is also continuing to expand.
