Russia’s Gazprom, Azerbaijan to mull gas supply

Russian gas company Gazprom will hold talks with Azerbaijan in June on the possible supply of the Russian gas to the country, TASS news agency reported citing Alexander Medvedev, deputy chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee.

"The Azerbaijani side is interested in this issue. We will hold a meeting soon, possibly even during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, and define the Azerbaijani side's need [in gas]," he added.

Medvedev also said there is a need in Azerbaijan to buy the Russian gas.
