Azerbaijan will issue certified investment securities.

This was reflected in amendments made to Civil Code at the extra-ordinary plenary meeting of Azerbaijani Parliament within the spring session.

Ali Huseynli, Chairman of Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the parliament informed about the draft law.

According to the Civil Code, bonds and stocks are investment securities. Investment securities are located with issuing and are securities which volume and term is equal of realizing its rights within one issuance not depending upon term of obtaining the securities. The investment securities have only been issued in the form of book-entry. According to amendments, the investment securities will not be issued in both book-entry and certified forms.
